A Charity Golf in Support of Down Syndrome
At PSDM, we’re excited to announce that we’re teaming up with UKM Fairway Philanthropists (UFP), a group of MBA students of UKM, who are undertaking this fund raiser project as part of their MBA coursework, for a noteworthy cause. We’re jointly organising a CHARITY GOLF event, an initiative through which we plan to raise funds for two major projects.
Firstly, we are looking to establish a brand new Early Intervention Centre within the University Malaya (UM) campus. This project stems from a Collaboration and Cooperation Agreement signed on March 17, 2023, between Fakulti Pendidikan UM and PSDM. As part of this agreement, we will undertake our first research study aimed at enhancing the literacy and numeracy levels of individuals with Down Syndrome (IDS).
Secondly, we are aiming to raise funds for the enhancement of facilities and equipment, improvement of trainers’ qualifications, and the alignment of our curricula with the National Occupational Skills Standard. These enhancements will allow us to meet the Compliance Requirements of the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran and subsequently earn their approval for Accreditation of PSDM’s Pusat Latihan Vokasional & Kemahiran.
Now here’s where you come in. We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you to join us in this Charity Golf event. Our mission with this event is not just to raise funds but also to heighten awareness about supporting individuals with Down Syndrome in Malaysia.
Join us, let’s make a difference together!
